What is E104?

Quinoline Yellow WS is a mixture of organic compounds derived from the dye Quinoline Yellow SS. Owing to the presence of sulfonate groups, the WS dyes are water-soluble (WS). E104 sits in the E100–E199 series, which in the EU classification mainly covers colours.
